Whitehall Selects A New Commissioner….Well, Whitehall Didn’t….Linda Snyder Did

Democracy in action last night at the township building. Well, no. Not really. Actually it was more like the politburo in session. The Board of Commissioners selected Tom Slonaker to take the seat made available by the untimely death of Bruce Brinker in April. So glad to see that the citizens had a voice in this selection process!

Again, the revolving door is in operation. Another bloated, recycled politician gets a second…or twelfth opportunity to screw the Whitehall residents over. Slonaker is not a newcomer. He’s been a commissioner as well as Board president in the past. And he certainly did not set the world on fire as the county controller.

In my opinion I think Joe Marx should have been given the job. His last name closely identifies with the brand of governance that has become prevalent in Whitehall.

Well, they didn’t select you to serve. Big surprise. To hell with this crappy town and it’s inbred people, Jim. It will never change. Drive past my house when you can. The for sale sign is up. I’m taking the family and going back to civilization

Same old people doing a worthless job. That’s the Board of Commissioners
